Being an avid reader has helped him adapt to the ever changing field of technology, thus helping him solve various social problems. He is currently working on a women-centric startup, with which he aims to empower women in developing countries like India with the use of novel technology and ideas. Mitwa Palkhiwala Founder, Techiesta Mitwa Palkhiwala is a researcher, developer, inventor, entrepreneur and Electronics & Communication (E&C) Engineer. She is very fond of learning new technologies and loves to implement her knowledge into various innovative projects. Her projects are mainly based on Embedded Systems, Human- Computer Interaction (HCI) and Internet of Things (IoT). She has also applied for a patent application for one of her projects. She is currently working on a women-centric startup, with which she aims to empower women in developing countries like India with the use of novel technology. Nitin Tyagi Co-Founder, NT Discovery Nitin Tyagi is an inventor and the co-founder of NT Discovery, a company developing solutions for industries in various domains. The current innovation they are working on is a smart fuel and fleet management solution which is being tested currently in Meerut. Nitin also holds 8 patents for his various innovations along with two National Awards. Rishabh Agnihotri Founder & CEO, Biecan Blecan is a smart point-of-sale system with proximity interactions between users and merchants establishing contextual user-experience like automated walk-in ticketing, walk-out payments, etc. The startup has built a simultaneous payment processing mechanism which can replace traditional one-to-one payment mechanisms like card swiping machines and qr-code-based payments. Blecan is incubated at GUSEC and has received a $25000 grant from the local government. Pallavi Jain Co-Founder, Change Makers Pallavi is the Co-Founder & Director of The Change Designers LLP, a multi- disciplinary communication agency for social, organizational and behavior change. Pallavi holds dual masters’ degrees in communication from London School of Economics and University of Southern California. She has worked extensively in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh with clients including, Nutrition International, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Government of Karnataka, Purpose Climate Lab, PCI Media Impact, Thinkthrough Consulting, University of Texas at El Paso and many more. Nandan Shah CTO & Director, Alteration Tech Pvt Ltd Nandan Shah is the CTO and Director of Alteration Innotech Private Limited – a Pune based tech startup. Nandan has seven patents to his name, for products like a foldable keyboard, a rape prevention device, and security systems. He is currently working in the fields of IoT, cyber security and artificial intelligence. Nandan’s inventions and story have received consistent coverage from newspapers, TV channels and blogs across India. Smit Bhanushali Lab Manager, Yuvalay ELab Smit Bhanushali is the Lab Manager at Yuvalay Electronics Lab (a part of Yuvalay Charitable Trust) where he oversees administration, and guides candidates in activities related to their projects. Smit envisions developing a network of development-centers across the country where people are provided not only with resources and mentorship, but also opportunities to start contributing to the betterment of their communities. Raghav Gupta Co-founder & CEO, Nymble Labs Pvt Ltd Keyur Punjani Founder, Infinium Robotics LLP Keyur Punjani is a Mechanical Engineer by training, who founded Infinium Robotics LLP in 2016. Keyur oversee the sales, marketing and business development, product strategy and operations of the company. Infinium Robotics LLP makes affordable, easy to use and reliable desktop 3D printers for various verticals like engineering, product development, education, and architecture. He plans to create an affordable additive manufacturing system which will be able to print metals, ceramics and polymers in a single machine; with a whole ecosystem of products from materials to design portal. Faisal Laghari CEO, LearnOBots Faisal Laghari is a social entrepreneur with passion to revolutionize the current education system. His startup focuses on providing hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) education at P-12 level and are the leading player in it in Pakistan. They have a series of educational kits and programs that they integrate into school curriculum. Recently they have achieved a major milestone by reducing the cost of STEAM education per child to only $2 a month which can get them a potential revenue of $250 million per annum. LearnOBots was bootstrapped for 3 years, starting from $4000 of founders money, they generated almost 100x revenue. Musstanser Tinauli CEO, Fori Mazdoori (Fori) Musstanser Tinauli is a smart city expert, and founder and CEO of Fori Mazdoori (Fori). Fori helps connect blue-collared workers with potential employers through digital inclusion. He holds a PhD in Design from Politecnico di Milano, Italy; and Masters degree from Multimedia University, Malaysia. He has been a recipient of two prestigious fellowships including IBM Phd Fellowship and Roberto Rocca PhD fellowship. He has also previously lead a high profile project Trash Tack at MIT. Usman Butt CEO, RepeirDesk Usman Butt is the Founder and CEO of RepairDesk, a startup that allows mobile repair shops to keep track of items for repair, set deadlines, assign employee tasks, save customer information, collect deposits, print repair tickets, and manage invoices and receipts – helping them save over 1000 man- hours every year. RepairDesk’s software is currently being used in hundreds of cell phone repair shops around the world. Ramla Qureshi Founder & CEO, Women Engineers Pakistan (WEP) Ramla Qureshi is a Fulbright scholar, currently pursuing her PhD in Structural & Earthquake Engineering at the State University of New York. She likes to identify as a “Scholar-activist”, and is paving the way for technical advancement of women in science, technology, engineering & math. Her organization, WEP, works to realize these goals, providing a parallel college experience via school outreach, hands-on industry training, student-industry linkage; and multiple seminars and conferences surrounding advancement of women in STEM fields. Abdul Basit CEO, EBolt A mechanical engineer by training, Abdul Basit is the CEO of EBolt – Pakistan’s first local manufacturer of electric bikes. Ebolt’s bikes are zero emission, and powered completely by long-lasting batteries. EBolt is also the winner of the Global CleanTech Innovation Program (GCIP), run by United Nations Industrial Development Organization. Basit’s diverse portfolio also includes significant experience in manufacturing, the food industry, and marketing. Sacha Marie Ahmad Co-Founder, Rah-e-maa Sacha is a public health practitioner, and co-founder of Rah-e-maa, a company that designs ICT services to improve maternal and child health in Pakistan. Rah-e-maa received a $100,000 investment from the UNICEF Innovation Fund last year to bring its first product, Super Abbu, to market. Super Abbu is a free hotline targeted at low-income and low-literate expectant fathers. The service connects them to each other and to doctors over a phone call, allowing them to record questions that get answered by a doctor within 48 hours. Super Abbu has so far acquired 21,500 users since its launch on 31st December 2017. Maryam Arshad CEO & Director, Impact Dynamics A serial community builder, Maryam is the Founder of Impact Dynamics, an enterprise with a focus on driving change through social innovation, digitalization and education labs. Maryam is the founding team member and former Community Manager at the National Incubation Center (NIC) Islamabad. An IVLP alumna, Maryam passionately runs the Google Business Group Peshawar which is ranked in the top ten chapters of the world and is also a Director for Startup Grind Peshawar. Shahmir Khan Founder & CEO, Travly Shahmir is a former Co-founder and CEO of Travly – a ride-hailing startup that helped shape the on-demand transportation space of Pakistan along with tech giants such as Careem and Uber. One of the first to successfully close a seed round of $200,000 from Pakistani investors. He is an alumnus of Plan9, PlanX, and GES+. He is also the winner of National Mobile App Competition 2016 and a key member in the Mozilla community who played an integral role in nurturing it’s growth in Pakistan. Currently, he’s working on a mobile marketplace for home-cooked meals to tap into Pakistan’s $250 million food delivery and takeaway market.
